Bone broth is loaded with flavor and nutrients and can be made easily in your crock-pot. I always have it on-hand in my freezer. It’s great for sipping or as a base for soups, stews, or sauces. Also, the chicken cooked in the crock-pot is always flavorful and tender. I will freeze it in one to two cups packs and use for salads, soups, tacos, any recipe that calls for cooked chicken. You can make bone broth either from chicken bones or beef bones. Chicken bones are more accessible than beef bones so that’s the recipe I’ll share with you today. I recommend that you use an organic chicken. My favorite combination is one whole chicken and at least 4 drumsticks. Sometimes I will just make a simple broth with just salt and pepper, no veggies. You can add in whatever herbs or veggies you like. A large oval crock-pot with a timer will be the best option for cooking.
