Your heart works hard every day to take care of you, but when was the last time you stopped to think about what you can do to nourish for your heart? February is Heart Health Month. ❤ Taking care of your heart’s health may not be at the top of your list. Unfortunately, too many of us take this amazing organ for granted, and heart disease remains the leading cause of death for men and women in the US. The good news is that heart disease for many people is preventable. One strategy for taking care of your heart is proper nutrition – feeding the body nutrients that promote health and life.
The leading factors contributing to heart disease are poor eating habits, weight problems, lack of physical exercise, stress, anxiety and sleep deprivation. All of these derive from our behavior, not our nature. The good news is that we can make changes and turn our situation around if we choose to. Here are some tips on how to nourish your heart. Did you make any resolutions to improve your health in 2018? How is it going? Every January, 45 percent of all Americans, that's about 135 million people make New Year’s resolutions. But less than 10 percent of us are actually keeping them. If that is you, maybe it’s time to rethink your approach. If eating healthier was on your list, here are five strategies to get you back on track.
